Skenes Creek is an idyllic township located 6km east of Apollo Bay on a popular surf beach. Mavi Beach House consists to three bedrooms, sleeping 8 people in total. The property has two bathrooms- one is adjoining to the master and all towels & linen are provided during your stay. Upon entry to the home the kitchen and dining are setup for guests to be able to relax, cook and mingle whilst enjoying the magnificent views. The adjoining spacious lounge area with a warm fireplace can be kept open or closed off for peace and quiet, should some guests want to watch a movie or read a book. The rooms are fresh and cosy, all with built in mirrored wardrobes, luxurious bed linen and styling. The two queen rooms have ocean views for your waking enjoyment and the kids bunk room looks out at the lovely charming back garden. The house has absolutely stunning views with two large front deck areas to wine, dine and relax - soaking up the sun and refreshing sea breeze. Along with the two large enclosed decks this property boasts quite a spectacular outdoor space all round, not only is it directly opposite the beach but it has quite a spacious garden and yard. Guests will love the outdoor pizza oven and the relaxing enclosed indoor/outdoor room at the back of the home.

Neighborhood

Deservingly known as paradise by the sea, Apollo Bay & Skenes Creek is midway along the majestic Great Ocean Road, in the shelter of Cape Otway and on the lowest slopes of the beautiful Otway ranges.

Valleys just a few kilometres out of town are full of rainforest, streams, waterfalls and fireflies. Once the province of timber workers and farmers, the hills are now also occupied by artists, holiday makers and beach lovers.

Every water sport under the sun can be enjoyed at Apollo Bay - surfing, fishing, swimming, diving, and boating of all sorts. Bush walking in the Otways, wet or dry, is spectacular. The rain and wind rarely reach the lower levels of the older rainforest which has its own lush climate. Down the Great Ocean Road at Cape Otway are some of the most breathtaking walks in the country.

Almost perfect

TV is limited with only channels available being 2 (very good picture) and SBS. Foxtel is also limited, as is very spotty internet. However, with the amazing views and a book, I didn’t miss any of those things. The weather was dismal. I can only imagine how spectacular the views are on a good day. We had a problem with the oven. It might need a repair man. Finally got the ceiling fans to work and they work well. Lots of lighting which is something usually missing in rental properties. I really appreciated how easy the few steps onto the deck are to climb, that the house is all on one level and the very comfortable beds. I loved being at Mavi and so did my dog. The carport was great when loading up to come home…in the rain. The beach across the road is beautiful and the sound of the waves lulled me to sleep every night. This house is almost perfect. I will return!!
